The book is comprised of 26 prose poetry essays from the iconic author and follows The prophet Almustafa. The story centers on his trip home from Orphalese, where he is stopped by a group of people and ends up discusses deep issues such as life and the human condition.

Roger Allers is co-directing with various animated helmers including Tomm Moore, Joan Gratz, Bill Plympton, Nina Paley, Joann Sfar, Paul and Gaëtan Brizzi, Michal Socha and Mohammed Saeed Harib. Salma Hayek is producing with Clark Peterson and Ron Senkowski.

No production schedule has been released.

The original cast in its entirety is in negotiations to reunite for the sequel, including Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd, Morgan Freeman, Kris Kristofferson, among others. Charles Martin Smith, who directed Dolphin Tale, is set to direct the sequel from his own script.

Alcon will finance and produce the film, which it will release through its output deal with Warner Bros.

Dolphin Tale 2 will tell another true story inspired by the life of Winter, but also involving a new baby dolphin named Hope who was rescued by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in 2010.

Winter, who still resides at the Aquarium, played herself in the original film and returns in Dolphin Tale 2 and Hope will play herself in the sequel.

The story of Winter was originally brought to Alcon by the Company's president of worldwide marketing Richard Ingber, who also produced Dolphin Tale with Kosove and Johnson.

Dolphin Tale 2 comes to theaters September 29th, 2014 and stars Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd, Morgan Freeman, Kris Kristofferson. The film is directed by Charles Martin Smith.

Ken Levine actually got his start as a screenwriter and playwright before breaking into the video game business. The remake is said to be a passion project for the writer, who will still develop video games through his Irrational Games company while working on the script.

The original Logan's Run, released in 1976, is set in a world where everyone must be willingly executed by the age of 21. Those who try to test their fate are known as "runners," and are chased down by Sandmen. Michael York starred as a Sandman named Logan 5, who becomes a runner himself when he reaches the maximum age of 30. He ventures outside of the domed city where all of humanity lives, to take his chances in a post-apocalyptic Earth.

Several filmmakers have tried to bring this remake to the big screen in recent years, such as Carl Rinsch (47 Ronin), Alex Garland (Dredd 3D), and Will Beall (Gangster Squad). Most recently, director Nicolas Winding Refn planned on reuniting with his Drive star Ryan Gosling for this project, before the actor bowed out in October.

Logan's Run is in development . The film is directed by Nicolas Winding Refn.

The story, based on James Dashner's novel, centers on a group of teenagers who are transported to a bizarre maze known as The Glade, with none of them having any memory of getting there. Ava Paige is the one responsible for bringing these teens to The Glade, as a test to find the strongest warriors in this dystopian society. Dylan O'Brien stars as Thomas, who tries to figure a way out of this massive structure. Thomas Sangster, Will Poulter, Aml Ameen, and Kaya Scodelario co-star in this thriller.

First-time filmmaker Wes Ball is directing from an adapted screenplay by Noah Oppenheim (The Secret Life of Houdini).

Patricia Clarkson most recently starred in The East, which is currently playing in theaters.

The Maze Runner comes to theaters February 14th, 2014 and stars Thomas Sangster, Will Poulter, Aml Ameen, Kaya Scodelario, Dylan O'Brien, Patricia Clarkson. The film is directed by Wes Ball.

Jim Sturgess stars as a recent Harvard medical school graduate that takes an internship at a mental institution. Unaware the hospital has been overrun by its patients, the insane are now posing as doctors. Kate Beckinsale stars as the title character, whom the young intern falls in love with. No details were given for Brendan Gleeson and David Thewlis' characters, but they join a cast that also includes Ben Kingsley and Michael Caine.

Brad Anderson is directing from a screenplay by Joe Gangemi (Wind Chill), who had written the original screenplay more than 15 years ago. The script is based on a short story by Edgar Allan Poe. Bruce Davey, Mel Gibson, Mark Amin and Cami Winikoff are producing, with David Higgins, Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman and Mark Gill executive producing. Shooting is scheduled to begin on June 24.

Eliza Graves comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Kate Beckinsale, Jim Sturgess, Ben Kingsley, Michael Caine, Brendan Gleeson, David Thewlis. The film is directed by Brad Anderson.

Justin Nappi and Kevin Turen of Treehouse Pictures produced, along with Scott Aversano and Andrew O'Connor. Treehouse Pictures financed the comedy. Executive producers are Jason Barrett, Manu Gargi, John Friedberg, John Friedberg, Peter Schlessel and Lia Buman. FilmDistrict plans to distribute the release wide in the U.S. on January 31, 2014.

In Are We Officially Dating?, three guys decide to support a friend devastated by a recent breakup by vowing to maintain their single status for as long as possible. The plan gets derailed when they each fall in love and have to secretly work around their pledge to bachelorhood, while trying to figure out the complications of modern day relationships.

The deal was brokered for the filmmakers by WME and CAA.

Are We Officially Dating? comes to theaters January 31st, 2014 and stars Zac Efron, Deborah Ann Woll, Imogen Poots, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Jessica Lucas, Josh Pais, Emily Meade. The film is directed by Tom Gormican.

We reported in May that Antonio Banderas will play the miner Mario Sepulveda, a.k.a. Super Mario, with Martin Sheen playing Mario's father and Rodrigo Santoro playing another one of the 33 miners, who were trapped underground for 69 days in 2010. No details were given regarding Jennifer Lopez's role.

Patricia Riggen is directing from a screenplay by Mikko Alanne and Jose Rivera, with Mike Medavoy and Edward McGurn producing. Production is scheduled to begin this fall in Chile.

Jennifer Lopez most recently starred in this year's action-thriller Parker, alongside Jason Statham.

The 33 comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Antonio Banderas, Jennifer Lopez, Martin Sheen, Rodrigo Santoro. The film is directed by Patricia Riggen.

Eadweard Muybridge was a photographer who helped settle a bet for California governor Leland Stanford in the late 1800s, who believed that a horse had all four hooves off the ground while running in full stride, although this could not be detected by the human eye. Using an array of 12 cameras he helped prove Stanford right, paving the way for the motion picture projector and the film industry as we know it. However, Eadweard Muybridge is also famous for murdering reputed theater critic Major Henry Larkyns, who was having an affair with his wife, Fiona. This biopic will focus on this love triangle, with Ralph Fiennes being eyed to star as Eadweard Muybridge and Benedict Cumberbatch circling the Major Henry Larkyns role.

In addition to writing and directing, Gary Oldman may also play the smaller role of Dennis Spencer, the district attorney who defended Eadweard Muybridge in his murder trial. Gary Oldman's manager, Douglas Urbanski, is producing, with shooting tentatively scheduled to begin next year, if financing comes together.

Gary Oldman made his feature directorial debut with 1998's Nil by Mouth.

The Vow director Michael Sucsy is helming the project, which centers on Addy Hanlon and Beth Cassidy. The cheer-leading duo are the unchallenged rulers of their high school until a new coach comes into play and gives the girls an attitude adjustment. After a shocking event takes place, the local police begin an investigation involving the coach and her squad. Anticipating their season finale, the girls are forced to question their loyalties as the stakes ascend higher.

Natalie Portman most recently appeared in Kenneth Branagh's superhero project Thor and will next be seen in Gavin O'Connor's Jane Got a Gun.

The film is set in the 1970s and centers on a bullied teen (Riley Griffiths) that is navigating the challenging path of manhood. Christina Hendricks will be portraying his mother. The story is based on a young adult novel written by author Robert Lipsyte titled One Fat Summer.

Christina Hendricks is best known for her role as Joan Harris in AMC's hit series Mad Men. She will next be seen in Ryan Gosling's fantasy thriller How to Catch a Monster.

Terry Loane is directing from a script provided by David Scearce. Christian Taylor will be producing.

Sean Penn stars as Martin Terrier, a international operative who is betrayed by the organization he works for. Idris Elba will portray a mysterious agent named Dupont. The project is an adaptation of Jean-Patrick Manchette's book The Prone Gunman.

Pierre Morel is directing from a script by Pete Travis. Silver Pictures' Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Steve Richards are producing.

Idris Elba earned a Golden Globe for his role in the hit BBC series Luther and can be seen next in Guillermo del Toro's sci-fi Pacific Rim.

Production is scheduled to begin later this month in Barcelona.

The Gunman comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Sean Penn. The film is directed by Pierre Morel.

The film centers on secret agent Robert McCall (Denzel Washington), who finds himself living the easy life working at a local hardware store. His peace is interrupted when an act of kindness to a prostitute (Chloe Moretz) catapults him into a conflict with the Russian mob. Melissa Leo is playing his former supervisor, who now is an informant.

Antoine Fuqua is directing from a script by Richard Wenk. Escape Artists' Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch are producing with Alex Siskin, Mace Neufeld, Tony Eldridge, Michael Sloan, and Denzel Washington.

Production is scheduled to begin this month in Boston with a April 11, 2014 release date being targeted.

The Equalizer comes to theaters April 11th, 2014 and stars Denzel Washington, Chloe Moretz, Marton Csokas, Melissa Leo, David Meunier. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua.

The film centers on Dwayne McLaren (Liam Hemsworth, who dreams of leaving his hometown of Cut Bank, Montana. His attempt to leave triggers a deadly series of events that change the town and his life forever. John Malkovich, Ben Kingsley, Michael Sheen and Teresa Palmer are also starring.

Matt Shakman is directing from a script written by Roberto Patino. Laura Rister, Edward Zwick, Dan Cohen and Mickey Barold are producing.

Liam Hemsworth most recently played Billy The Kid in Simon West's action sequel The Expendables 2. Production began on June 12 in Alberta, Canada.

Cut Bank comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Liam Hemsworth, John Malkovich, Billy Bob Thornton, Teresa Palmer, Bruce Dern, Oliver Platt, Michael Stuhlbarg. The film is directed by Matt Shakman.

The story follows a suicidal man, who, after a failed attempt at killing himself, is plagued by the arrival of four wayward ghosts. The man must grant each of them one wish before they will leave his life, and let him continue living his.

Admission writer Karen Croner penned the screenplay for the remake, with CJ Entertainment, the company behind the original, co-producing.

The film doesn't currently have a set start date, and its unclear if Chris Columbus will direct Pixels first, also under Adam Sandler's production banner Happy Madison, or if Hello Ghost will take precedence now that Adam Sandler is on board. The comedic actor is currently in the midst of shooting Blended, a romantic comedy that reunites him for a third time on-screen with Drew Barrymore.

Hello Ghost is in development and stars Adam Sandler. The film is directed by Chris Columbus.

The highly sought after actress, next seen in the action comedy The Heat, will play Watts in this DreamWorks Animation project. The story follows a top-secret government agency that is dedicated to protecting humans from evil ghosts and the various hauntings they carry out in the name of their supernatural overlord. Just as in R.I.P.D., the agents themselves will be ghosts.

Watts will be the oddball partner of Seth Rogen's Jackson Moss. Both new to the agency, these recently deceased individuals will stumble upon a plot put forth by the most wanted Haunter, which will bring about the destruction of B.O.O. The pair is forced to pull out every trick in the playbook to stop a ghost army from consuming America before it moves onto the rest of the free world.

Anthony Leondis is directing from a script based on his own idea. Puss in Boots' Tom Wheeler wrote the screenplay. The movie will be in theaters summer of 2015.

B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations comes to theaters June 5th, 2015 and stars Seth Rogen, Melissa McCarthy. The film is directed by Anthony Leondis.

The film will center theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking and his relationship with his wife. Eddie Redmayne will be playing the genius with the female lead expected to be announce very soon. James Marsh is directing from a script by Anthony McCarten. Working Title Films is producing.

Eddie Redmayne is best known for his role as Marius in Tom Hooper's Les Miserables reboot and will next be seen in Andy and Lana Wachowski's Jupiter Ascending.

The studio is shooting to start production this fall.

Chef is the story of Carl Casper (Jon Favreau), who loses his chef job and cooks up a food truck business in hopes of reestablishing his artistic promise. At the same time, he tries to reconnect with his estranged family. Producers are Karen Gilchrist and Aldamisa's Sergei Bespalov. Production begins in July 2013 in Los Angeles.

Chef comes to theaters May 9th, 2014 and stars Jon Favreau, Sofía Vergara, John Leguizamo, Bobby Cannavale, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson. The film is directed by Jon Favreau.

The actress would join Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Pine in this dark rendition of the classic fairy tale, which centers a cursed baker and his wife. The couple travel into the woods to confront a witch, who casts a spell on them preventing them from bearing children. On their journey, they meet classic characters such as Rapunzel, Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood.

Tracey Ullman will play the mother of Jack the Giant Killer. Meryl Streep is portraying the witch with Johnny Depp as the fairytales big bad wolf. Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Pine are set to play Cinderella and Rapunzel's self centered princes.

Rob Marshall is directing from a script provided by James Lapine. Production is scheduled to begin this fall.

Into the Woods comes to theaters December 25th, 2014 and stars Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Chris Pine, Jake Gyllenhaal. The film is directed by Rob Marshall.

If a deal becomes finalized, the actress will play Miss Hannigan, the cranky woman who runs the orphanage that Annie (Quvenzhané Wallis) stays in before being taken in by Daddy Warbucks (Jamie Foxx). Sandra Bullock was actually in talks for the role back in March before passing, but now, negotiations have begun again. Carol Burnett played Miss Hannigan in the original Annie that debuted in 1982.

Will Gluck is directing from a screenplay that he is currently rewriting. Emma Thompson wrote the original draft, which was rewritten by Aline Brosh McKenna. Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and James Lassiter are producing through their Overbrook Entertainment company, with Jay-Z and Tyran Smith producing for Marcy Media. Production is scheduled to begin in late fall.

Sandra Bullock will next be seen in the 20th Century Fox comedy The Heat, and in the Warner Bros. sci-fi thriller Gravity later this year.

Annie comes to theaters December 25th, 2014 and stars Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, Sandra Bullock. The film is directed by Will Gluck.

The story centers on an affluent older man who pays to have his mind transplanted in a much younger body. When he learns that the body he now resides in was murdered, he finds himself being hunted down by mysterious forces, as he tries to determine who killed the body's previous inhabitant.

Tarsem Singh (Immortals) is directing from a screenplay by Àlex Pastor and David Pastor (Carriers), with Ram Bergman, Peter Schlessel, and James D. Stern producing. It isn't known when production will begin.

As of now, the only other movie facing Selfless is the Focus Features/Laika animated comedy The Boxtrolls.

Selfless comes to theaters September 26th, 2014 and stars Ryan Reynolds. The film is directed by Tarsem Singh.

The books, described as Spy Kids crossed with The Walking Dead, centers on Will Ritter, a high school student who begins to see that some of the people around him are "Deaders," inter-dimensional entities that take over the bodies of the dead and use them as hosts. When Will is recruited by a group of kids who are also gifted with "The Sight," he discovers that he holds the secret to stopping this new type of terrifying invasion.

Jeffrey Reddick, whose Final Destination franchise has made over a half a billion dollars worldwide, released the following statement.

Modernciné, which has made a name for itself by producing dark and edgy material, including Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door and The Woman, definitely sees The Undertakers as the start of a new teen franchise.

Untitled Michael Mann Project comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis, Wei Tang, Leehom Wang, Holt McCallany, Leslie Mann, Spencer Garrett, Sara Finley. The film is directed by Michael Mann.

Joining the cast in a pivotal supporting role is young actress Sterling Jerins. The casting news comes on the heels of Jerins' roles in World War Z (opening June 21st), in which she appears as Constance, the daughter of Gerry Lane (played by Brad Pitt), and James Wan's The Conjuring (opening July 19th), in which she appears as Judy, the daughter of Lorraine and Ed Warren (played by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson).

In And So It Goes... Oren (Douglas) is a self-centered real estate agent who couldn't care less about anyone else. But Oren's life is turned upside down when his estranged son suddenly drops off a granddaughter (Jerins) he never knew. Now, with the help of his determined and loveable neighbor, Leah (Keaton), Oren stubbornly learns to care, and unexpectedly, to fall in love again.

The cast also includes legendary crooner Frankie Valli as well as Scott Shepherd (Side Effects) and Frances Sternhagen (Misery).

Lily James is locked in to play the title character, an orphan who overcomes a ridiculing family to find her true love, with the help of her fairy godmother. Game of Thrones star Richard Madden is playing the prince who Cinderella falls for, with Cate Blanchett playing her wicked stepmother.

Kenneth Branagh is directing from a screenplay by Aline Brosh McKenna and Chris Weitz, with Simon Kinberg, Alli Shearmur, and David Barron producing. Shooting is scheduled to begin this fall in London.

Cinderella comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Cate Blanchett, Lily James, Richard Madden, Holly Grainger, Sophie McShera. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Michael Fassbender is attached to star in Assassin's Creed, which follows the adventures of a bartender who learns he comes from a long line of assassins. He is forced by a corporation to hunt down precious artifacts, while using a device that gives him all the skills and memories of his ancestors.

We reported in January that Michael Lesslie is writing the screenplay, although a director has still not been attached yet. Frank Marshall is producing alongside Ubisoft's Eli Richbourg, Michael Fassbender, and his producing partner Conor McCaughan. No production schedule was given.

Frank Marshall most recently produced The Bourne Legacy and War Horse, and has upcoming projects such as Jurassic Park IV and Indiana Jones 5 on his slate.

Assassin's Creed comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Michael Fassbender.

The drama is based on the true story of painter Margaret Keane (Amy Adams) and her husband Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz), whose paintings of large-eyed children were incredibly popular throughout the 1950s and 1960s. While Margaret Keane actually created the paintings, her husband Walter was the marketing genius who also claimed to be responsible for the artwork himself.

Krysten Ritter is playing DeeAnn, a free-spirited friend of Margaret, who tries to convince the introverted artist to stand up for herself and claim the credit she truly deserved. Danny Huston also stars as an alcoholic gossip reporter.

Tim Burton is directing from a screenplay by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, who previously wrote the critically-acclaimed biopics The People vs. Larry Flynt and Man on the Moon. Production is scheduled to begin this summer.

Krysten Ritter most recently starred in Vamps and the short-lived ABC comedy series Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23.

Big Eyes is in development and stars Christoph Waltz, Amy Adams, Danny Huston, Krysten Ritter. The film is directed by Tim Burton.

Fox will retain all screen rights to the books, and will have the ability to adapt the numerous stories through multiple platforms. The next step now is to decide which story to bring to the silver screen, out of the Choose Your Own Adventure library that spans more than 180 titles. In the books, readers can choose which path they want to take at a number of different points in the story. It is not known how this innovative storytelling aspect will be handled in the movie version.

The concept was created by Edward Packard, who teamed up with R.A. Montgomery in 1975 for a series of books that allowed the reader to decide where they wanted to go with the story. After a small run of books through their Vermont-based publisher, they struck a deal with Bantam Books in the late 1970s, and the series exploded in popularity, while also spawning numerous imitations. The Choose Your Own Adventure series ran through the late 1990s, with over 250 million books sold worldwide.

R.A. Montgomery will executive produce with his wife and business partner Shannon Gilligan, along with Damien Saccani and Red Crown's Daniela Taplin Lundberg. No production schedule was released.

Choose Your Own Adventure comes to theaters in 2014.

The game, which debuted in 2001, follows an elite U.S. Army Special Forces unit who eliminated terrorist threats around the world, while cleaning up any traces that they officially exist. More than 24 million copies of the game have been sold since its debut. Here's what Ubisoft Motion Pictures President Jean Julien Baronnet had to say about these characters.

Ubisoft has already started meeting with screenwriters to craft the story, with Michael Bay overseeing the development through his Platinum Dunes production company. If the script meets his approval, there is the possibility that Michael Bay may direct.

Back in May 2011, Ubisoft Motion Pictures announced their plans to adapt a trio of their hit games, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon. Both Assassin's Creed, starring Michael Fassbender, and Splinter Cell, starring Tom Hardy, are set up at New Regency.

The story, written by Luke Dawson (Shutter), follows a group of students who find a way to bring the dead back to life. They soon discover that there are dire consequences to those actions. Donald Glover and Evan Peters will play members of this research team, alongside the previously-attached Mark Duplass and Olivia Wilde.

Jason Blum is producing through his Blumhouse Studios company, with Lionsgate's Erik Feig and John Sacchi overseeing the project for the studio. No production schedule was given.

Donald Glover will next be seen on the big screen in the upcoming CBS Films comedy The to Do List, debuting July 26, and will start shooting Season 5 of the NBC comedy series Community later this year. Evan Peters is currently shooting X-Men: Days of Future Past, and will return for American Horror Story: Coven this fall.

Reawakening is in development and stars Mark Duplass, Olivia Wilde, Donald Glover, Evan Peters. The film is directed by David Gelb.

Formely titled Loomis Fargo, the comedy centers on a disgruntled armored car driver, who risks everything for love and money. After successfully getting away with $20 million from a bank heist, his crew double crosses him and he is left on the run in Mexico. The driver realizes the wrong done to him and goes on a mission to exact his revenge.

Napoleon Dynamite's Jared Hess is directing from a script by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer. The project is based on an original screenplay by Emily Spivey. Lorne Michaels, John Goldwyn, Danny McBride and Jody Hill will be producing.

No production schedule has been released.

Loomis Fargo comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Jim Carrey, Owen Wilson. The film is directed by Jared Hess.

Lily James will be starring as the titled character with Richard Madden playing her prince. Cate Blanchett is portraying her wicked stepmother.

Kenneth Branagh is directing from a script provided by The Devil Wears Prada scribe Aline Brosh McKenna and Chris Weitz.

Based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairytale, the film chronicles the journey of a young mermaid princess that abandons her life under the sea for a prince above sea level. Joe Wright is directing the project with Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner producing.

Kelly Marcel is best known for writing the big screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey and Saving Mr. Banks. No production schedule has been released.

The story centers on a downtrodden man (Patrick Wilson) who becomes the limo driver for an eccentric billionaire. Little does he know that his boss is about to make his life a living hell. Ed Helms is playing the man's limo driver colleague, although the billionaire has not been cast yet.

Joe Carnahan is directing and producing with Blumhouse Productions' Jason Blum, with Tracy Falco co-producing and Leon Corcos executive producing. No production schedule was given.

Patrick Wilson most recently starred in Prometheus, and will next be seen in a pair of thrillers for director James Wan, The Conjuring (July 19) and Insidious Chapter 2 (September 13). Ed Helms currently stars in The Hangover Part III, and will next be seen in We're the Millers (August 9).

Stretch comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Patrick Wilson, Ed Helms. The film is directed by Joe Carnahan.

Tom Hardy was confirmed to star back in November, with New Regency and Ubisoft teaming up in December. Eric Singer (The International, American Hustle) wrote the screenplay based on Ubisoft's popular video game franchise, which has sold over 23 million units since debuting in 2002. Tom Hardy is playing black-ops agent Sam Fisher, who operates out of an elite division known as Echelon, eliminating terrorist threats around the world. The next game in the series, Blacklist, is due out in August.

No director has been attached to the adaptation thus far, but an announcement is said to be expected shortly. Basil Iwanyk most recently produced Wrath of the Titans and The Expendables 2, along with upcoming movies such as The Seventh Son.

Splinter Cell is in development and stars Tom Hardy.

John Quaintance and David Feeney wrote the spec screenplay, which centers on a female cop and prisoner who go on the run together in Texas, trying to outrun a group of corrupt police officers.

Reese Witherspoon is also producing with her Pacific Standard partner Bruna Papandrea and Dana Fox. John Quaintance and David Feeney previously wrote for the Fox sitcom Ben and Kate, which was executive produced by Dana Fox. Universal is putting this project on the fast track, with production to begin in March 2014.

Reese Witherspoon can currently be seen in the indie drama Mud, and is attached to numerous project such as Inherent Vice, Passengers, and Three Little Words.

Sofía Vergara will next be seen on the big screen in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills.

The actor will play Henry Brown, the uptight patriarch of an English family who find the talking title bear at London's Paddington Station. They take him in and try to protect him from the evil director of the Museum of National History, who moonlights as a taxidermist. The producers want House star Hugh Laurie to provide the bear's voice, but negotiations have not begun yet.

Paul King (The Mighty Boosh) is directing this live-action/CGI hybrid from a screenplay by Hamish McColl, based on the long-running series of Paddington Bear books by Michael Bond. David Heyman is producing through his Heyday Films banner, alongside Jeffrey Clifford. Production is scheduled to begin this fall.

The project was initially set up at Warner Bros. in 2007 by David Heyman, who produced all of the Harry Potter movies for the studio, before it was moved to StudioCanal. Hugh Bonneville will next be seen on the big screen alongside George Clooney and Daniel Craig in The Monuments Men, opening December 20.

Paddington Bear comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Hugh Bonneville. The film is directed by Paul King.

The story follows the mystical Russian who was embraced by the Imperial Family as a medical adviser for their hemophiliac son Tsarevich Alexei. Rasputin continued to gain considerable influence with the family, so much so that the family's rivals tried to kill Rasputin several times before his eventual death in 1916. There have been movies made about this historical figure before, but writer Jason Dean Hall reportedly unearthed new details about the man, which give him more "psychological depth."

Jennifer Davisson Killoran is producing for Leonardo DiCaprio's company Appian Way, alongside Langley Park's Kevin McCormick and Peter Morgan. No production schedule was given.

Leonardo DiCaprio can currently be seen in The Great Gatsby, and has The Wolf of Wall Street opening this fall. Jason Dean Hall wrote Spread, the upcoming thriller Paranoia, and the adaptation American Sniper, which Bradley Cooper is starring in for director David O. Russell.

The project is adapted from a 2008 New Yorker article by David Gann about the mysterious case of Krystian Bala, a Polish writer who was convicted of murder. A cold case for years, the murder was described as the perfect crime. While Krystian Bala was never a suspect, he published a novel that described a murder strikingly similar to the one that had confounded local police for years.

Christoph Waltz is playing Polish police officer Jacek Wroblewski, who re-opens the case and is sucked into an underworld of sex rings and drugs. The tone of the story has been compared to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Brett Ratner, John Cheng and David Gerson are producing the thriller, which was initially set up at Focus Features before they put the project into turnaround. The producers are currently seeking a new distribution partner.

Christoph Waltz took home his second Oscar earlier this year for his role in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained. He also recently signed on for a role in Stephen Gaghan's The Candy Store.

True Crimes comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Christoph Waltz.

The story came from writer Nic Kelman, which takes a different approach to the alien invasion genre that incorporates "hot-button" scientific elements. The project isn't set up at a studio as of yet, but if White House Down is a big hit when it opens later this month, don't be surprised if Emergence gets picked up shortly thereafter.

It isn't known if this will be the next movie that Roland Emmerich will direct, since he is also developing Singularity at Sony, and is attached to direct Asteroids, The Zone, Foundation, and the Independence Day sequels ID Forever - Part 1 and ID Forever - Part 2.

Kirstin Winkler and Aaron Boyd from Roland Emmerich's Centropolis Entertainment will produce. Nic Kelman is currently writing Outpost for Paramount Pictures and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. The writer also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT, and a Masters of Fine Arts from Brown University.

The first film centered on life long friends Adam (John Cusack), Lou (Rob Corddry), Nick (Craig Robinson) and Jacob (Clark Duke). After a long night of partying, the group is transported back to 1986 where they have a chance to change their futures. The sequel will likely continue the story of the first project.

Gillian Jacobs is best known for her role as Britta Perry in NBC's hit comedy Community. She will next be seen in Steven Brill's comedy Walk of Shame alongside Elizabeth Banks and James Marsden.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is in development and stars Adam Scott, Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, Clark Duke, Chevy Chase. The film is directed by Steve Pink.

The story centers on a group of explorers who travel through a wormhole and discover another dimension of space and time. The plot is reportedly based on the scientific theories of physicist Kip Thorne, who believes that wormholes do exist, and can be used for time travel. Kip Thorne is serving as a scientific consultant on the project. Bill Irwin will reunite with his Rachel Getting Married co-star Anne Hathaway in a cast that also includes Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine.

Christopher Nolan is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with his brother Jonathan Nolan. The director is also producing alongside Emma Thomas and Lynda Obst, with Jordan Goldberg executive producing. It isn't known when production will begin.

Bill Irwin most recently starred in the short-lived TNT drama series Monday Mornings, and in Vera Farmiga's directorial debut, Higher Ground.

Interstellar comes to theaters November 7th, 2014 and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace producer Rick McCallum is in talks to develop a big screen adaptation of Kaleb Lechowski's recent animated short R'ha.

Matthew Graham will be writing the screenplay for the project with Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Steve Tzirlin producing alongside Rick McCallum, Raymond Brothers and Scott Glassgold.

Kaleb Lechowski will be directing the film, which follows an alien race called the R'ha. While not much is known about the storyline of the movie, the short finds a group of extra-terrestrials defending their cluster of solar systems from a dangerous attack. R'ha comes to theaters in 2013.

The film is set in a post-World War II Japan and tells the story of a former American soldier, who becomes involved with the Japanese Yakuza.

Takashi Miike is directing from a 2011 Black list script written by Andrew Baldwin. The project is based on an original idea by John Linson, who is also producing with his father Art Linson, Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Steve Richards.

Tom Hardy is also up for the role of Elton John in Michael Gracey upcoming biographical drama Rocketman.

Production is expected to begin in Japan early next year.

Minchin, who will likely take on a larger creative role in addition to writing the music/lyrics for the film, co-wrote Matilda the Musical which was awarded a 2012 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and is currently nominated for 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical Score.

Larrikins tells the story of an uptight bilby (a desert-dwelling marsupial), who has lived a sheltered life in the safety of his family burrow. When he ventures out and becomes privy to a dangerous secret, he finds himself launched on a musical adventure across the mystical and untamed Australian outback. The film will be managed by DreamWorks Animation Head of Development Gregg Taylor and Development Executive Amie Karp.

The story is set in a dystopian New York City that is on the verge of ruin, where a majority of the population escape reality through a digital fantasy world. If a deal is finalized, Denzel Washington will play an assassin hired to murder a powerful evangelist's daughter, although he instead becomes her protector.

Erwin Stoff is producing through his 3 Arts Entertainment company, although no screenwriter or director has been attached yet. The novel will be published in January 2014.

Denzel Washington, who landed an Oscar nomination earlier this year for his performance in Flight, will next be seen in 2 Guns, opening in theaters August 2. He is about to start production on The Equalizer, which reunites him with his Training Day director Antoine Fuqua.

Shovel Ready is in development and stars Denzel Washington.

The film centers on a airplane pilot, who crash-lands in the Shara Desert. He comes across a young boy that claims to be a prince from his home on an asteroid. During his time repairing the downed aircraft, the young boy tells stories about the foolish inhabitants surrounding his asteroid. The project is an adaptation of a novel by French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Jeff Bridges will be voicing the pilot with no other roles being confirmed. Mark Osborne is directing the family film, which has Aton Soumache and Dimitri Rassam producing.

Paramount most recently produced a live action adaption, which had Steven Warner, Joss Ackland and Clive Revill starring. No production date has been released.

The Gunman centers on international spy Martin Terrier (Sean Penn), who is attempting to clear his name in order to save himself from the organization he once worked for. The film is based on novel written by Jean-Patrick Manchette titled The Prone Gunman. Javier Bardem will likely play one of the henchman sent to kill the former spy.

Plot details are few on A Most Violent Year, but we do know that the actor will be portraying a good guy. Production scheduled to begin this fall in Manhattan.

Javier Bardem is best known for his role as the baddy in No Country for Old Men, which he won an Oscar for. He more recently stared as Silva in Sam Mendes' latest Bond film Skyfall.

The Gunman comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Sean Penn. The film is directed by Pierre Morel.

A Most Violent Year comes to theaters in 2015. The film is directed by J.C. Chandor.

Plot details are being held under wraps on the haunted house thriller, but Mia Wasikowska would play a young author named Edith Cushing. Benedict Cumberbatch and Jessica Chastain are co-starring as a pair of siblings from a aristocratic family.

Guillermo del Toro is directing from a script he co-wrote with Matthew Robbins and Lucinda Coxon. Legendary Pictures will be producing.

Mia Wasikowska most recently starred in Chan-wook Park's Stoker. She will next be seen in David Cronenberg's drama Maps to the Stars.

Crimson Peak comes to theaters in 2015 and stars Emma Stone, Charlie Hunnam, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jessica Chastain. The film is directed by Guillermo del Toro.

Abi Morgan (Shame, The Iron Lady) wrote the adapted screenplay based on Claire Bidwell Smith's memoir. An only child, the author lost both of her parents to cancer over seven years, while she was a young adult. The book chronicles the many adventures and romances she embarks on, in an effort to cope with her loss, while finding out who she really is in the process.

FilmNation Entertainment is financing and handling sales on the project, with the studio's Glen Basner and Aaron Ryder producing, along with Jennifer Lawrence and Bruce Cohen (Silver Linings Playbook). Here's what Glen Basner and Aaron Ryder had to say about the story, in a joint statement.

No production schedule was given. Susanne Bier recently wrapped production on Serena, which reunites Silver Linings Playbook stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.

Other actresses such as Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain, and Emma Stone were once thought to be in contention for the coveted role, although now Carey Mulligan appears to be the favorite of director James Ponsoldt (Smashed, The Spectacular Now). Nothing is finalized yet, and other actresses are still in the mix, but Carey Mulligan and James Ponsoldt will meet soon, and both sides are eager to work out a deal quickly.

Young Il Kim wrote the screenplay, which landed on the 2012 Black List. The story follows a young Hillary Rodham Clinton, who was one of the lawyers on the committee to impeach President Richard Nixon, as she tries to balance her burgeoning career and her feelings for future President Bill Clinton.

Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen are producing through their Temple Hill company, although it isn't known when production may begin.

After getting an Oscar nomination for 2009's An Education, Carey Mulligan's career has flourished, starring in critical darlings such as Never Let Me Go, Drive, and Shame. She will next be seen in Inside Llewyn Davis alongside Oscar Isaac and Justin Timberlake.

Rodham comes to theaters in 2015. The film is directed by James Ponsoldt.
